What counts against the drive limit?

Only drives you own. Drives someone else loans to you are unlimited on every plan, including Free, so receiving a drive from a client or a production never costs you anything.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan tracks up to 10 drives with no time limit and no card required.

How much does Vault Buddy cost?

Pro is $19 per month for unlimited drives. Team is $49 per month with 3 members included, plus $12 per month for each additional seat up to 15 members.

Do I need a Team plan to loan a drive to someone?

No. Loans and chain of custody work between any two Vault Buddy accounts. Any account can collect a signature on a loan. Team plans add shared ownership, roles, and a team-wide signature policy for people working inside one organisation.
